Welcome to the Cluster for Molecular Chemistry

The Cluster for Molecular Chemistry at the Radboud University of Nijmegen is part of the IMM Research Institute. In 2003 the department celebrated its 50th anniversary.

Personnel of the department comprises ca. 175 persons; 13 academic staff, 15 research, technical and general staff. In addition, there are approximately 18 post-doctoral researchers and 55 PhD students who form a strong contribution to the research environment.

The department attracts many undergraduate students into its teaching programs, and offers excellent possibilities for students to do a trainee period in the chemistry laboratories in Nijmegen. Students are also stimulated to extend their chemical experience by joining international exchange programs for chemistry students world wide (e.g. European Socrates (Erasmus) program).

Currently, the research focuses mainly on four subjects:

The department is well resourced with state-of-the-art instrumental and technical facilities.
