Crystalline Materials
Knowledge of the three-dimensional structure of molecules and molecular
assemblies at the atomic scale is of crucial importance in the design
and understanding of new materials. The crystalline materials research
is focused on the determination of structures and ordering in the solid
state by X-ray diffraction methods, the study of (pseudo)polymorphism,
solvate formation and solid state transitions and the design of new
functional crystalline materials based on metal-organic frameworks.
