Design and synthesis of novel graphite-like triazole

The aim of this research is directed towards the design and synthesis of novel graphite-like triazole functionalised architectures as suitable candidates for the construction of self-assembled surfaces. Two proposed approaches are under investigation:

  1. Construction of 'clickable' phthalocyanines providing a route towards a wide spectrum of novel triazole-derived-phthalocyanines (Figure 1a).
  2. Design and construction of graphite-like polymeric and dendrimeric triazolenephenylene structures by 'click chemistry' (Figure 1b).
  3. Study of the self-assembly of these functionalised graphite-like structures (Figure 1c).
